This is a subreddit devoted to the upcoming sequel, Psychonauts 2.Let’s just hope that if we ever get a third installment, it doesn’t take nearly as long to develop. It also presents an opportunity for a whole new generation of gamers to fall in love with Psychonauts' lovable characters and unique gameplay.Īlthough the pacing of the plot is inconsistent towards the middle of the game, the overall story is an emotional journey, chock full of trauma, redemption and character growth. Psychonauts 2 review: VerdictĪll in all, Psychonauts 2 is both a worthy sequel to its predecessor, and a great game on its own merits. It's a letdown, after such an exciting start to the story. This makes it a bit of a hassle to power through several fetch-and-go quests in quick succession. However, one of the only flaws that I found in Psychonauts 2 is that the pacing slows down toward the middle of the game. I was personally glad to see that the developer Double Fine Productions incorporated themes such as mental health and LGBTQ+ representation into the game’s story. Similarly, improved graphics and some quality-of-life gameplay changes aren’t the only examples of progress that Psychonauts has made since 2005. Psychonauts 2 also introduces a number of new characters with tragic backstories that are bound to tug on your heartstrings. You can expect to see some appearances from the original game’s most prominent characters, including Coach Oleander, Agent Sasha Nein and Agent Milla Vodello, as well as Raz’s love interest, Lili. However, the developers provided an extensive recap of the previous game as soon as you launch Psychonauts 2.Īt the end of the first game, Raz and the team rescue the Grand Head of the Psychonauts, Truman Zanotto, from the clutches of the evil Dr. I first played Psychonauts almost 15 years ago on the PlayStation 2, so my memory of the original game was a bit fuzzy. However, don’t let this scare you away if you haven’t played the 2005 cult classic. Psychonauts 2 review: Plotĭespite the prolonged time period between the release of the two Psychonauts installments, the plot of Psychonauts 2 picks up almost immediately where the original game (and its VR spinoff, Rhombus of Ruin) left off. And even once you’re done with the story, you’re free to roam the Psychonauts HQ to finish off any side quests, or replay each level and pick up anything you missed the first time round. If you’re the completionist type, then you’ll be glad to hear that every possible level in Psychonauts 2 features hundreds of ‘Figments of Imagination’ to collect, as well as hidden secrets for you to explore.

Last year was one of the best in recent times for Microsoft’s first-party games, and fans can hope that the trend continues in 2022. However, Halo Wars was fully designed with a controller in mind, and it will be interesting to see how Relic Entertainment, or any other developer, approaches this port.Īge of Empires 4 is considered to be one of the best multiplayer games of 2021, and it will be a great addition to the software lineup of Xbox Series X. There aren’t many RTS games available on consoles, with Halo Wars and its sequel perhaps being the most noteworthy titles in this list. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Return of Rome Xbox Game Studios Strategia In vendita: risparmia 2,25, termina tra 7 giorni Preordina Richiede un gioco PEGI 12 Linguaggio osceno, Violenza Questo contenuto richiede un gioco (venduto separatamente). While fans can always plug in a mouse and keyboard to their consoles in order to play Age of Empires 4, it will still have to be designed around a controller before being released on Xbox consoles. However, Age of Empires 4 is a completely different type of game, and porting it to consoles may require major design changes. While previously only available on PC, Microsoft Flight Simulator did release on Xbox Series X in July, and it may encourage Microsoft to do the same with the Age of Empires titles. As always, every rumor or leak should be taken with a grain of salt, but it should come as no surprise to see Age of Empires 4 eventually make it to Xbox consoles. Lumia speculates that the letters XIP could stand for Xbox Insider Preview, and clarifies that this is the first time Microsoft has used those letters alongside Cardinal. Twitter user Aggiornamenti Lumia states that “Cardinal,” a code name for Age of Empires 4, is now available for testing in the Xbox insider hub. RELATED: Atrioc Reaches Top 1,000 Players in Age of Empires 4 There has always been a demand for a console version of Age of Empires 4, and a new code name suggests an Xbox port is currently in development. Despite being available on Xbox Game Pass, it has frequently been a part of Steam’s Top Sellers list, and it currently holds the record for having the highest number of concurrent players in the series. Age of Empires 4 is a base-building, sword-clashing, village-pillaging RTS of the classic style, inside and out. However, Age of Empires 4 has apparently been a big success for Microsoft. An overly safe but enjoyable RTS throwback. Age of Empires 3 released way back in 2005 and the franchise was considered dead for many years, so naturally, there was a lot of skepticism in the lead up to AOE4’s release. Age of Empires 4 came out in October of last year, and fans have been generally pleased with the latest entry in the iconic series.

The data are all in front of text in the dark area and in my MacBook it comprises almost 2000 lines of information. If you click on Analysis in FastTask 2 and then on the Profiles tab, you get a window with a comprehensive analysis of the system. It is therefore worth downloading and installing the App in any case. But you can really see all the launch agents and other things that work secretly in the background and may slow down your Mac. You start the analysis with the “F2” symbol in the Finder menu bar, where FastTask is “at home”.Īn example of the possible scope: With my Apple Mac, this is almost 2.000 lines of information that the program outputs. Most of it is not important for debugging from my point of view, but the menu items "Analysis" and "Model Overview" are relevant for us. If you click on the "F2" symbol there, a fairly extensive menu opens, which you can use to view various analyzes and information or to change system settings. So my recommendation for troubleshooting is the tool Fast Tasks 2, which after the start is almost invisible in the upper Finder-Resides menu line. After starting "FastTask 2", the "F2" icon appears in the Mac menu bar, which can be used to call up the analyses. If I'm lucky, I get emails with various screenshots, but those are the exceptions. If you then ask for information on system extensions or the like, most of them are helpless as to how and where they can get the relevant information. Most of the time the questioners still know when they bought the Mac, but which model it is is only known to advanced Mac users. I have also included a zip archive containing two versions of an example workspaces where this problem is present the workspaces contain the source code for a basic "Hello World" program, a makefile to build it, and the appropriate tasks.json. In tasks.json version 0.1.0, the expected behavior (of the task output terminal remaining open) occurs regardless of whether or not the task completes extremely quickly. This is actually a combination of two parts of the same issue, the first being that in tasks.json version 2.0.0 a task which terminates too quickly will automatically clear and close the tasks output terminal. The following is all that is printed (note that the "Terminal will be reused by tasks, press any key to close it" message is not displayed) The terminal re-opens every time the new version of the command is run, and is automatically closed afterwards.

It has to be seen to be believed. The backgrounds are definitely more involved this time around, replacing the barren Virtua Fighter I-style backdrops with detailed, and occasionally moving, fighting arenas. Numerous improvements have been made over the original, most noticeably in graphics, but the gameplay remains as sturdy as ever. Overall, Kazuya’s Revenge has plenty of great fight scenes and Kane Kosugi is, as always likeable but the forgettable story and lack of any real emotion or tension make it one possibly for rental only. Now here comes Tekken 2, ready to set the gaming world alight again. Keep Kane as the lead and the same supporting cast but let’s just get to the tournament, which is what we all want to see. Perhaps it’s time for Tekken to go the route of Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist and have its own web series made by people who are fans of the games. Wait, if this is a prequel and we get another movie, is that a pre-sequel, sequel prequel? uhh… moving on… He only has a small part in Kazuya’s Revenge and I wish he had more to do but it looks like it’s very much open for a sequel. Some of the female supporting cast weren’t the greatest actresses in the world either with some poor line delivery not the worst I’ve ever seen but rather wooden.Ĭary-Hiroyuki Tagawa seems to be the master of the video game adaptation, having key roles in this and Mortal Kombat. I didn’t like or hate him, he was just there. I always like watching him on screen although a bit more back-story to The Minister would have been interesting. Rade Serbedzija plays a villain called The Minister who keeps forcing people to fight to the death or he’ll make them explode that’s literally what he does. I won’t lie, I actually had no clue what was going on by the end and had frankly stopped caring I was just there to watch some fights and that was fine. Sadly, the story like I said has little to do with Tekken and despite Kane Kosugi’s awesomeness you don’t really care what happens and it lacks any real tension or threat. Fluid camera work and martial arts moves that will give you a sore back by just watching are the order of the day and it’s certainly one of the best fight scenes of the year. The best fight scene though is at the end with Kane Kosugi taking on Brahim Achabbakhe and Ron Smoorenberg. It also has a small but pivotal role for Gary Daniels who returns to play Bryan Fury he has a great fight scene with Kane which is one of the action highlights. The fights are choreographed to perfection and there are enough of them to make it a fun watch. Kane Kosugi is as awesome as always and his fighting skills are a joy to behold. That’s not to say there isn’t plenty of action though as an outsider (who isn’t much of a gamer) looking for an entertaining martial arts flick, you could do worse than Kazuya’s Revenge. Review: I always thought the Tekken games were about the King of Iron Fist Tournament, then I realised that this is actually a prequel to the first movie and it’s set before the tournament… which I’m pretty sure no one really wants to see. Plot: Suffering from amnesia, a young man trying to discover his true identity is kidnapped by an underground crime organization and turned into a ruthless assassin. Kazuya’s Revenge has plenty of great fight scenes and Kane Kosugi is, as always likeable but the forgettable story and lack of any real emotion or tension make it one possibly for rental only. We don’t know exactly why Tez thinks this might be the case but it could be due to Take Two Interactive’s nosedive in share price due to weaker financial performance in the last year or so. In terms of the official announcement of the game, Tez states he can “personally see an announcement as a given this year”.Īnother interesting piece from Tez is how he believes management are not “in a position to delay further to holiday 2025/2026“. On the flip side Tez notes that Rockstar could be “more firm about an announcement this year” if “almost the entirety of the workforce in office”. Any sort of exodus may end up causing strain on delivering milestones for GTA 6 and could end up delaying the game entirely. It is possible some developers could leave Rockstar if they are unhappy with this change. Some have even decided to leave their position and find a role elsewhere at a company who’ll offer a work from home scheme. This change has caused upset with a large number of employees at these companies. Several big companies such as Apple and game studios such as Activision have decided to do this in the past few months. His sources told him since 2021 “Grand Theft Auto 6 has been aiming for a 2024 release date for some time” but thinks the game would release Holiday 2025 instead.Īs for the reasons why it might be delayed, Tez states Rockstar Games are implementing a policy for its developers to return to office for work. Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming who has shared reports on GTA VI’s release in the past did discuss Tez’s claims. He says GTA VI has already been delayed internally “multiple times in the past few years” and that “Unfortunately, it could slip into early 2025 as well.” Plenty will say that holiday 2024 release window seems far too soon and Tez does offer a reasonable explanation as to why it could come later. In addition to that, Tez says the delays are not an assumption on his part but rather what he has heard. It’s interesting to note how he claims Rockstar have intended for it to be a 2024 release for sometime. However, Tez posted on the GTAForums on Saturday Rockstar’s “aimed-always-changing-not-set-in-stone deadline is holiday 2024“. GTA 6 coming out sooner than we think?Ī lot of fans still think the game is a few years away, 2025 or even 2026. Let’s take a look at what the insider has said including how there might be no more delays. Plus, that report sharing game details ahead of the major leak of 90 gameplay videos but aside from that nothing has been proved to be real. So far we’ve only had a statement from Rockstar confirming they’re working on the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series. We will stress this is purely a rumour and speculation at this point though as it is not coming from Rockstar publicly but apparent sources at the company. Unless the individual or organisation has a good track record we won’t report on it. The difference is this bit of info is coming from someone more trustworthy than the fake reports out there.
